Remember that the #7 line extension will have its 10th avenue station shell not built as part of the original work because the project was too expensive. Also, though I was once a Roosevelt Island resident and would love to see anything which benefits the island and my former neighbors, I fear that an LIRR station stop there would be like a Secaucus station--Stop a trainload of people who really want to get to their destinations for the dozen or so people who would board. I know Secaucus has become more actively used, but I will respectively agree that a Roosevelt Island LIRR station would not be the best idea. |
