The map is incorrect....3rd Ave. Uptown locals had a dedicated northbound track and platform side at E.129th street Station, lower (main) level....prior to 1920 and thereafter and up thru to May 12, 1955 Manhattan segment closing. The 129th St Local only Station was closed to passengers in 1950, (or by at latest 1952) if I recall correctly, thereafter the all local trains passed NB & SB thru the station. They did make very rare stops for IRT employees working there by request only. I rode trains many times thru there. Regards - Joe |
