I remember them when they were electrics, and I thought they were really neat! Nicely air conditioned, at the time I did not appreciate the old MP54's. Dumb kid was I! Forgot the seat colors, but the car body walls were a nice shade of blue. Good acceleration. One of my expensive yet favorite early ralifanning experiences was taking the Sunday afternoon 3:34 train to Trenton. A guaranteed 4 car set of Arrow I's, not always crowded. Hard to believe how ridership has gone up today. And you had no near the frequency of service then either. We are a much more mobile society today then we were then. |
