False statement. The E train is the 8th Ac subway's crosstown branch.The IRT extension's purpose is to serve Hell's Kitchen and Javits and handle an area that, with rezoning will see a lot of growth. That's far more important for the 7 than the PABT, which already gets lots of subway service. |
