Not at all. It's very worthwhile, actually. Prevents suicide or ,murder by shoving people onto the tracks, and would also discourage, but not completely prevent, trespassing. In this context it's a way for the TA to avaluate its effectiveness on two stations. A worthwhile experiment.I agree that the impact, overall, will be small. But since the cost will be a tiny portion of the overall project cost, it's still worth doing. It's most effective when used completely throughout the system, and of course would be required for any ZPTO type operation. |
