Actually, O'Malley did think about Floyd Bennett Field for a minute before dismissing that because of its atrocious access. As for Moses, he didn't exactly care for the law either...and Moses was powerful enough to pressure Albany to make an exception in the law anyhow.However, similar issues also caused the New York (baseball) Giants to move out to San Fran that same winter...because Moses didn't give a damn about the city until it was too late. |
