By the mid to late 1960s, the Brighton Banker's specials were running via tunnel to Chambers St. The only thing that was broken during construction was the ability to deadhead over the Manhattan Bridge - there were no revenue runs over the Manhattan Bridge to Chambers for several years prior to 1967. By the mid-60s, most of the mid-day layups for the Banker's specials and the TT-West End local were at East New York. |
