Are we so self-centered as a society that we don't even think about things like this even in the throws of death? People overseas read about stories like this and no wonder they hate us.And if you think I'm using this incident to charaterize American attitudes unfairly, this isn't the firts time someone's suicide or incompetency has killed on a mass scale. |
