From what I've been able to piece together, it sounds like one of the commuter trains hit a car at a crossing, causing it to derail into the path of an oncoming commuter train. The wreckage of these two commuter trains tumbled onto/into a parked UP Freight.

Nightmare scenario. I hope the casualty list doesn't get worse.
