The slant ends on the R40s are not only a failure, but in some cases are a safety hazard. Those "some cases" being when you have to pass between cars and feel like you're walking a tightrope over the Grand Canyon (not fun even if the train is not in motion), and the fact that kids have been known to "surf" on those slant ends...and die trying.Oh and I did neglect to mention that the space used for the slant noses limits interior space as compared to other 60' cars? |
