November 1, 1918: The worst disaster ever occurred on the Brighton Line. The Brighton Beach Local-Express with wooden el cars under motorman Edward Luciano, conductor Micheal Turner and train guard Samuel Rosoff at Malbone Street near Consumer's Park Station during the evening rush hour.
