It was a 5-3 decision (Chief Justice Roberts recused himself because he had written the opinion being challenged while still on the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals). It's the decision that forced Congress to formally write the Military Commissions Act into law in accordance with the SCOTUS ruling. |
