Start by explaining politely (but firmly) that they are mistaken. Only if they persist do you pull out the paper, explaining that you printed it directly off the MTA website.Yes, it's easier said than done. Just think of it this way -- you got practice today! Incidentally, never ride the subway without a writing implement (and a piece of paper, but you had one of those). |
