Indeeeeed. I once saw TWO Acelas pass New Rochelle within a 6 minute segment... was a monday around 4pm... 1 on the nb middle track (with teh "temporary platform extending over to the middle track and placing us geese RIGHT UNDER the local track's catenary).... and teh other on the sb mnrr platform... (this was when the outermost "scrape teh wall" nb platform had it's roadbed removed for repair) and the temporary platform was in place over the "squiggly twisty" track seen in photo 1 above. if this makes any sense-- (from left to right at the station) -ACELA on the MNRR sb track -ACELA on the EXPRESS MIDDLE track -(temporary platform panels over the nb local, under catenary) -(scrape teh wall track removed for replacement-- was only rockbed) |
