The "golden age of transit building" was around 1880-1920's. The "golden age of road building" across the country was the 1930's-1950's or 60'sSo we are that far removed from so-called "golden ages"? Are we in our leaden age of transportation . . . ? Road-building still takes precedence over rail. That's hurting us in a big way. |
