According to the 1968 SAS plan..the Seaport Station and Pine street station were to have a max of 3 ft..due to power consumption and MASSIVE WEAR on rail equipment..on steep grades.Of course the NEW plan is to deep bore the whole project..passing under the CRANBERRY ST tunnel. so no more grade problems. |
