But what makes you think that will happen? The City will look for the cheapest alternative and that will mean rebuilding it as is. Of course, a tunnel would not be that expensive after you consider all the economic benefits that would result from a revitalized Sunset Park within the next thirty years. This is where we need a "Robert Moses". That's what it would take to get the funding to rebuild it along the shore with new parkland. |
