Yes, I used it the last time I was in Israel; it was very nice indeed (and much cheaper than a cab) They actually also just extended the airport line to the city of Lod, where you can connect to the line to Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem or the southern lines without doubling back to Tel Aviv.As to why the IC-3s are used on the line to Jerusalem - the engines on the bi-levels are not poweful enough for the grades on the line. subfan |
