I ride Israrail one round trip once a month, on average. Thanks to you I know now the designation of the equipment I prefer, the IC3. The IC3 trains are comfortable. They're smooth riding and they run in Triplex sets, having shared trucks. (Old-time BMT fans I'm sure are not surprised by the linkage, pun intended.) But they have only one door per side, making for a long time for getting off and getting on of passengers, so best for express runs. The bi-levels are okay, too. The older cars I find to be rougher riding and noisier, but maybe it's just me. |
