You drill the hole, place the 'Huck bolt 'blind rivet' in the hole and apply the pneunatic/hydraulic gun. BOOM.....just be sure the rubber deflector directs the broken stud away from you. What ocurs is that the gun draws in the stem of the blind rivet under extreme pressure to break it.....my small pneumatic gun can exercise 9,980 PSI upon a 3/8ths fastener...no labeled warning of noise level. Bigger hydraulic guns are even louder...it is the noise of rivet shaft being broken...shaft of rivet is hardened steel. Just part of a days work. it is good to have a good job. RRCI Peter |
