Posted by smooth on Wed Dec 13 01:31:31 2006, in response to Re: Flat wheel spots on the R46, posted by SUBWAYMAN on Wed Dec 13 00:24:06 2006. "The M7s have both disc and caliper brakes. Because of this, they have a higher braking rate than the M1/3s."The M7 seems to have a clumsy feel to it though insofar as it seems to always be a case of applying the brakes too hard at first; is there less control over the higher braking rate? "Flat spots are always caused by slip-slide. This is not caused by their weight as some people claim." M7 cars - I don't know quite how to explain - have a heavy feel to them. I doubt it much affects the flat spots, except indirectly maybe. What is the braking rate on the C3 and/or M2 cars relative to M7? |
