I can fill you in it can be done with a few touches of the TOD screen, the route set-up software has all the Lines, most of the possible terminals in the A Div even the 7 Line.In reality though,a 2 train is a 2 train and a 3 train is a 3 train. The work programs are set up for crews to work those lines, not change them to another line in mid-route, unless directed by Supt for service,which can happen. Happened to a crew when service was jacked up on the East Side.. They was a R142 5 type at 138 Street Supt at Mott Tower Ordered the Crew to tell thier passengers that this is going to be a 4 Train going to WDL(almost 20 min gap in service) wait for the Next 5 train behind them. Another Example Northbound 5 service delayed beacuse of a injured passenger at 14th Street my Follwer out of Flatbush was told by Unionport that he is being reouted to Dyre Ave,but they did not have to change to a 5 train beacuse the 2 line software has Dyre Ave in it. |
