The M and V combo is a simple, clean combination, as the V currently terminates only one station further than the combo point at Bway-Lafayette. And the J/Z can easily handle the Nassau St traffic, and also be extended to bay Parkway rush hours.

However, running the C to Metro Ave would entail system wide service changes almost on the scale of the original Chrystie changes in the late 60's! The V-M combo is a lot easier, neater, and cleaner than a C/M combo.
