It's very hard to take away something that people already have, especially if they have the political power to protect it. If you have stronger power than them, go ahead. There are a lot of places that lost their one-seat-ride or even public transit itself because there wasn't enough demand and/or political power but Wall St.(the area, not the actual street or station) is not such place. Why do you think LIC is still getting ferry service to Pier 11 when it's not really profitable? |
