I don't think that one can purchase safety at that price; nevermind that a crewmember can be attacked in plain sight of other people who will do nothing. It is a judgment call and I just question whether the judgment is correct given the probability of the threat.But even with the rule intact, perhaps a security person either MTA or NYPD can tag along, even issuing summonses for revenue on a relay so that it would be safer. |
