They still use 'greasers' which CLICK a SQUIRT under hydraulic pressure. When you do undercar even on 'New Tech' you must be careful when inspecting wheels because there is always a wad of grease waitng for your elbow. Subways operate tight curves.... every wheel inspection requires the use of a thin flange/high flange gauge NYCTA # 210A (if I remember correctly) which is basically go/no go. RRCI Peter |
