When the rockaway div.was first opened there was a track conn.just before the A trained up to the EL.There was about 200feet of new t.a.track,3rd.rail&a homeball that connected directly into the still running ozone park branch of the LIRR[abandonded may,1962]I,ve always wondered if the t.a.took a train of R9`s to whitepot junction just to see if they could. The other EL connections to RR`S were 132st&willis ave.an el station on NHRR property&155st.& 8th ave[polo grounds shuttle]track conn.into the NYCRR.
