The 46s were exclusively running on the E, F, and N (when extended to 71Av on weekdays). The hand-me-down 44s (along with a whole mess of the 40s and 42s) that had been running on QB were sent to the CPW and Concourse lines. (Some 40s/42s were retained for the GG). 46s were on the D for only a brief time when they were first coming in during 1975-1976, but were banished due to complaints of excessive vibrations by residents along the Brighton ROW. |
