Amsterdam/Broadway and 103rd at night still had shades of the past in the summer of 2001, which was the last time that I actually went there.I've been living in the East Village since 1989 and parts of it are unrecognizable now. There was this big vacant lot around 4th St. and Ave. C which was populated by the homeless, drug addicts and so on. Now that I don't remember its exact location I can't find any traces of it. I think I have some photos of pre-Giulliani Tompkins Sq. and boy, those were different times. |
