We're talking about 2 different eras. Before 1992, the G was always R32 and it did indeed run 6 and sometimes 8 cars. But later, when the G became totally R46, it never used anything but a borrowed 10 car consist.

No, we are talking about the same era. between 1990 and 1995, I rarely ever took any other trains than the 6, J, and occasionally the A, L, & 4/5. From about 1997 to 1999, I took the J(or rarely A) & F. It wasn't until 1999 that I really started to use Queens Blvd. I never saw a 10-car G train on QB. I had originally thought that those R32 G's were 10 cars until I saw them stop at the 8-car marker.
