I guess the reason is all those people still entering and exiting the train. Hard to close the doors with obstructions in the way.On the other hand, if riders knew that there was another, possibly less crowded, train waiting to enter the station they might not hold or block the doors. But how can MTA run more trains with all those passengers running up the dwell time? Kind of a chicken-and-egg situation. |
