To answer theoriginal poster's question: We trasferred from the R1-9's to the BU's on the centertrack (near Rockaway Blvd). The R1/9's proceded us (empty as allthepassengers wentintothe BU cars (it was their first timein use). TheR1/9's were there in case we broke down and had to be towed. The people yousawinthe BU's were transit personnel, (so thatregular passengers would not try to enteratthe underground stations. The M.O.D. trips (or Transit Museum trips)have now been starting at Columbus Circle. When the route wason the Eatern Division (I remember twice), we started at Chambers Street. |
