Posted by shadyelstation on Sun Apr 30 22:43:39 2006, in response to Re: Fastest Runs in the Subway, posted by kawasakir142 on Sun Apr 30 20:47:14 2006. 4th Ave Express is faster N/B than S/B.While there are 30 MPH G/T's in both directions, N/B timers begin after passing Union St (and that's after a long decline beginning north of Prospect Ave), so you'll get some speed there (especially if you're riding an R40 Slant). S/B timers begin before passing 25 St, so the S/B run is comparatively slower. |
