Operation and control are distinct components of the system.CBTC is a control system, not an operation system. Anybody -- human or computer -- can be operating a train under CBTC. Anybody -- human or computer -- can be operating a train without CBTC as well. I rode one of the first CBTC test trains on the L. CBTC was running. A human was operating the train. There's no contradiction here. |
