You could stall a whole subway train in there if you were not careful. The engineer in the cab car can not see where the gaps are vis a vis the third rail pickups on his locomotive at the other end of the train.AMTK can do it because the engine is always in the lead, and the engineer can see the gaps and not stop on one of them. That said, the LION would put third rail pickups on the cab-car, and hard wire them back to the locomotive. Yes, the LION knows all about trying to cut cars with a live 750 volt trained lion, but the cutout can be in the cab car and it could be easily isolated once the train is running on diesel power. Besides most diesel yards are sans third rail anyway. ROAR (Lions are SMART... but nobody listens.) |
