And they accelerate at something around .25mph/s with only 16000hp per train. If each car of the 112 cars weighs 143 tons and the four or so locomotives weigh 200 tons apiece then the power to weight ratio is 0.95 hp per ton. By comparison the 1000hp 128,000lb M7 has a power to weight ratio of 15.625hp per ton. |
