Very informative.I have a general understanding of dynamic braking but, in the pre-computerized days, was aware that in locomotives, it was operated with a different handle than the one that controlled the air brakes, so I was having a hard time understanding how, in pre-computerized SMEE cars, the motorman would operate both systems with the same brake handle. Your explanation clears that up. |
