No. It's 2 main selling points are gone. The first was that it was quicker than the subway. The time difference back in the days when the A ran express in Brooklyn only during rush hours was significant. Now, it's not. The 2nd was that it used clean, new, grafitti-free and air conditioned cars. Back then, this was a big deal. Today, every car is relatively clean, grafitti free and has air conditioning. Another issue is the loss of a northern terminal. They can't use 57th St/6th Ave anymore. |
