LIRR trains will never quite equal the status of New Haven trains. Know why? `cause LIRR is, at heart, an extended, flattened, widened version of Brooklyn. And Connecticut is not. Connecticuts' heart is really Boston. Hence the (implied and overt) claim to greater "status".
