I'm not to sure about your facts about Queensboro Plaza station in 1955. When BMT trains were through-routed to Astoria in 1949, they began using the old 2nd Ave. (north) side of the IRT platforms (as they still do today). The BMT half of the station was unused after that, but it wasn't torn down until about 1963. |
