Its a piece of cake when effective infrastructure planning coincides with the building of a new subway line. As the photo shows, Queens Blvd was mostly open space when the subway was built. The line allowed this development to take place. The opportunity for such construction is scarce today because many parts of every borough except for SI were built up without any thought of rapid transit going through them. |
