You're wrong in saying that we are wrong. Digital cameras emulate film cameras. As such, when you increase the ISO on a digital camera, no matter what actually happens inside the camera, the final image produced by the camera has an increase in what is called graininess by digital photographers. And yes, it is also called noise. |
