I take it No. 6 trains like the Nos. 1 and 7 trains as well as the 3rd Avenue Local and the 42nd Street Shuttle were not affected by the changes. Operationally the IRT was unaffected. Several routes did receive new designations though. The Third Avenue Local became the no. 8. The four shuttle services; 42th Street, Bowling Green, 145th Street and Dyre Avenue, received the "SS" designation. This was only on maps and other signage.
