Agreed, but there's something wrong with a system that sends two firetrucks, including one ladder truck, with firefighters suited up and geared up for firefighting, including firehats and coats and pokers, down into the subway to rescue someone on the tracks with no fire or threat of fire. Had there been a real fire nearby during this rescue and these two trucks were unavailable because of this issue, it would have called attention to this mis-use of personnel and equipment. |
