And as I remember, a building housing a restaurant around Rector and Greenwich Street on the 1 was condemmed and torn down shortly afterwards. Apparently, damage from the towers collapsing did some damage to the area and it only wasn't torn down then because of no subway service on the (1). It was only when subway service resumed that the building suddenly have cracks in it that caused an evacuation and tear-down. |
