OK, so maybe you need coal-burning electricity to make the solar panels. Once you have them, they make electricity more cheaply than whatever you used to make the panels.Nuclear requires turbines. Turbines are complex mechanical devices that have already been optimized over the course of 2 centuries. Solar panels and batteries still have much more optimization available in the future. |
