The traction motors will still work at the lower voltage but the auxiliaries are a question. Will there be enough control voltage to pick up the contactors? (MG set? battery?) Will the air compressor deliver full pressure? I have the impression that Illinois Railway Museum ran thier 1500v South Shore Little Joe on 600v once but the compressor was a limit.
