It's true that Jamaica Avenue seems to widen out east of the former J line terminus at 168th St. but I had never heard of any plans to extend the line further before its eventual demolition having been replaced by the Archer Ave. extension. However one day in 1929 a BMT Standard #2570 tried to extend the line further and wound up hanging off the end of the structure after dropping its front truck into the street below. |
