Unlike most of the BMT Eastern Dual Contract lines that had concrete station platforms, both Lefferts and 168th/Jamaica were built with “temporary“ wooden platforms for future extensions. One such proposal I heard about, although undocumented, is to extend both the Liberty Av and Jamaica Ave structures farther east to a point where both avenues are close enough together to build a joint terminal for both lines somewhere in Jamaica. |
