London implemented it in the 1950's using a variation of a Jacquard loom and updated them with PDP-8's in the 1960's. The Flushing Line automated Queens bound switching in the 1950's with Identra. The MTA has scheduled merging conflicts at Gold. Southbound the travel time between Canal and Gold and Grand and Gold should be the approximately the same. The schedule for 7/29/2026 calls for B leaving Grand at 17:58:30 and a Q leaving Canal at 17:58:30. This is a standard merge, with both trains scheduled to arrive at the interlocking at the same time. CBTC will not resolve built in merging conflicts. |
